Last updated: 2026-04-01
Article 1 (Application)
These Terms of Service (hereinafter 'Terms') establish the conditions for using Bench Master (hereinafter 'the Service') between customers using the Service (hereinafter 'Users') and the operator of the Service (hereinafter 'the Operator').
Article 2 (Service Description)
The Service is a web application for recording and analyzing weight training centered on bench press. While it provides AI-powered training analysis and advice features, it is not a substitute for medical treatment or professional training guidance.
Article 3 (Accounts)
- Users sign in using their Google account. Users are responsible for managing their own account information.
- Users must agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy upon first login.
- For 1 year after account deletion, free trial features (AI analysis and AI chat) will not be available even if re-registering with the same Google account. All features become available by upgrading to a paid plan.
- Upon account deletion, a hashed version of your email address (encrypted identifier) will be retained for up to 1 year to prevent abuse. The plaintext email address is not stored.
Article 4 (Pricing and Payment)
- Free Plan: Training logging is free. AI analysis (5 times) and AI chat (10 times) are available during the 14-day trial period from registration. After the trial period, training record creation and viewing remain available, but continued use of AI analysis and AI chat requires upgrading to a paid plan.
- Paid Plans (Standard / Pro): Monthly or annual subscription format.
- Payments are processed via credit card through Stripe.
- Subscriptions auto-renew. You can cancel at any time.
- AI analysis and AI chat quotas for each plan reset on the subscription renewal date. Unused quotas do not carry over to the next month.
- Refunds are generally not provided.
Article 5 (Data Storage and Retention)
- Training records and settings are retained for the duration of the account.
- AI coach chat timestamps are recorded on the server. Chat content is not stored on the server and is retained only on the user's device (up to 10 messages).
- The Operator may use anonymized training data, AI analysis results, and chat content for statistical analysis to improve service quality. Anonymized data cannot identify individuals.
- Upon account deletion, all user data is deleted. However, anonymized statistical data may continue to be retained.
Article 6 (Prohibited Activities)
- Unauthorized access or interfering with the service
- Harassment or nuisance to other users
- Reverse engineering of the Service
- Unauthorized commercial use
- Activities that violate laws or regulations
Article 7 (Disclaimer)
- AI analysis and advice are provided as reference information and their accuracy or completeness is not guaranteed.
- The 'suggested next workout menu' provided by the Service is calculated algorithmically based on past training records and RPE (Rate of Perceived Exertion) and is not a substitute for guidance from medical doctors, trainers, or other professionals.
- AI-generated menu explanations and comments are automatically generated and may contain errors.
- Users should not treat suggested menus as final instructions and should adjust menus at their own judgment and responsibility, considering their physical condition, fatigue, and medical history.
- The Operator assumes no liability for injuries, accidents, or other damages incurred during training as a result of following the Service's suggestions.
- The Operator is not liable for damages caused by service interruptions or suspensions.
Article 8 (Changes to Terms)
The Operator may modify these Terms as necessary. For significant changes, Users will be notified through appropriate means such as posting within the Service or email, including the effective date and details of changes. Modified Terms take effect from the notified effective date.
Article 9 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)
These Terms are governed by Japanese law. In the event of disputes, the Tokyo District Court shall be the court of exclusive jurisdiction for the first instance.
